Message from rain. While I have driven probably les than 5 times in the rain the entire time I have owned this TT. It is the unexpected downpour or splash from another car in another lane that I want to be able to prevent from being a disaster.

FWIW...My JWT dual POP install looked almost exactly like yours as far as the amount of downward hangage. Hard to say on the portrusion into the opening, but the filters do actually rest into the "slots" on the Jspec grill, almost as if they were designed that way. If you measure the amount of filter element exposed below the bumper core/bar. It is approx 1" IIRC (I somehow had two different lengthed filters and tried to find another shorter filter with no sucess. The longer of the two which is the standard JWT filter, hung with the 1" exposure)

But, under the name of "liberalism", they will adopt every principle of our socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without ever knowing how it happened.... I no longer need to run on the Socialist Party ticket because the Democrat Party has now adopted our platform."
